Reader’s Comments:
"Congratulations to Dr. Buttigieg for writing an
adventurous, thought-provoking book, travelling through the centuries;
and as many say, one can almost literally feel the power and lure of the
beauty of Malta, its fascinating history and people, leap right off the
page, into our own time!" ___________________
Dr Buttigieg! Thank you for an interesting and
inspiring book. As an author (writing about cults) and a mason, I read
your book with great admiration. Greetings.

Bought the book off internet – was mostly interested in the book cover – and discovered a most unusual read of excellent quality. Good idea to include your e-mail address in it. Congratulations. May Gallacher, Dublin ___________________
I have already congratulated you personally, since you are my gynaecologist! However I also felt that I should also e-mail you. Heartfelt congrats both for the book and your talents. M.Borg, Malta ___________________
Original and racy plot for the modern part plus a breath of fresh air for the Templars’ story. I’m an avid reader of all Templar related material but I thoroughly enjoyed your story. Is there more where it came from? If so, fire away, we’re all waiting. S. Awad, Tripoli ___________________
Picked your book while back in Malta after twenty years. Very very impressive. Read it back home in Rio – you managed to stir nostalgia for Malta in my heart. Never appreciated the Templars but your book has opened a new horizon for me. J. Camilleri, Rio de Janeiro ___________________
Good book, super read. Your theory of speculative neo-Templarism holds tremendous interest for me and my brethren. If interested, you may be asked by my lodge to expound further. You talk sense and for a non-mason your knowledge and attitude are really most impressive. N. Pomeroy, New York ___________________
I am a 33 degree mason and a Templar. I am much enthralled by your expressed views of freemasonic Templarism for these parallel strongly my own. Such views need to be published as research work in Masonic books and journals. You should definitely consider doing so, even, though, you make it clear that you are not one of us. This would go with Masonry’s modern view that it needs dialogue with intelligent non-masons. You would fit the bill perfectly. J Guthrie, Scotland. ___________________
Read your book when we stopped in Malta. I was a student nurse in Glasgow’s Southern General Hospital when you were a Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I remember you because you had delivered my little brother. Your surname made me pick up your book and on seeing your photo, I confirmed that it was you. The book is fantastic and I look forward to reading more from you. Congratulations on your talent! A. Murphy. Dublin ___________________
Brilliant interweave of distinct stories happening centuries apart. Excellent sub-plots. Most unusual theme and fascinating locations. I love this book and the author will definitely make his mark. PS My niece bought me this book from Malta but I cannot find it locally. Mary Weaver, California ___________________
Dear Sir, I have read your book twice and plan to do so more patiently a third time! Each time I discover something new! I found Of Craft and Honour and A Templar’s Chronicles a fantastic read. You must make your book available in the UK. I have lent the book around and believe me it is extremely well liked. One man with experience – a Canadian – feels it would make a great film, and he has much experience in the field. Do you have other books published ? if so, I would love to read them. Anne Huntley, Surrey, UK ___________________
Read your book on cruise after we stopped in Malta. Fantastic! I love your character Paul Bonell – what a type! Anything else written about this lovable detective? George Alonso, Texas ___________________
I am both a freemason and a Catholic. Your book appeals to both sides of me and you show much insight into the agonies which may afflict either side, yet you are offensive to no one. However, you give much food for thought on the subject Will visit Malta again – if you are in the directory may I contact you? A Sutton, New York ___________________
This must be the first book about the Templars written by a modern day Hospitaller. My friends and I find this fascinating. What other works of yours are in print on the subject? Nicky Lombardo, Massachusetts ___________________
As chairman of a Templar study group, I congratulate you, sir, on a very tantalizing book on the subject. We are curious as to how much fiction and how much fact there is in the book, which is obviously seriously researched. We enjoyed it, dissected it and are extremely curious about the basis of your inspiration. Jonathan Angus, Biringham ___________________
My father was Maltese and though I live in England, I am British and from time to time, I return to Malta for a break. Picked your book at the airport. Truly pleased to see the Maltese turning out such fine literary work which can stand proudly in the international market. Your book truly flies the Maltese flag with honour. Well done. Andy Camilleri ___________________
I love the way you give life to a portrait of Maltese life embroiled in a superb scenario. Carmen Muscat ___________________
Your book is a kaleidoscope of things – Templars, freemasons, religion, and life in general. Enjoyed every second of it. Well done ! Ann Micallef ___________________
Superbly written and masterfully presented! Mr Buttigieg, you are one heck of a storyteller! L. Gatt ___________________

I appreciated your book and its deep deep message. My wife enjoyed it enormously but did not realize its deeper significance. Your writing seems to be interpreted by the eyes that read it. Fascinating! J. Smithson, Bristol. ___________________
All brothers at my lodge have commissioned me to buy the book for them on my next visit to Malta – now we have discovered it can be bought from Amazon on internet. Your book is balanced, informative, accurate and above all, thoroughly enjoyable. The Masonic genre is not easy to use accurately in novels – YOU have cracked it. Alfred Brooks, UK. ___________________
Brilliant story, fantastically symbolic book cover. Worth every penny. Eleanor Carty, Edinburgh ___________________
Truly enjoyed your book immensely. As a master mason
I am glad you distinguish between orthodox and unorthodox freemasonry.
Glad even more that you dissociate Grand Lodge masonry from events like
those of the Propaganda Due. Well done ___________________
I have read the book a number of times. I recently saw you on TV and felt I should communicate. Of Craft and Honour and A Templar's Chronicles is one of the best books I have ever laid eyes on and that is something in my career! I knew you as a doctor, a gynaecologist - I am super impressed with your writing potential. Please do not stop. Believe me, few of us have the energy to write and compliment you but there are many many people out there who think like me. D. Debono ___________________
I purchased your book when my
cruise ship stopped over in Malta. At the end of the book I found your
e-mail and I wanted to let you know that this is a great read. It is like
seeing it all in film. Honestly, you should have this book turned into a
big screen movie or possibly serialise it. I love especially the old
templar, the chronicler. What a character! Wow! ___________________
As a freemason, I was intrigued
by your book, which I purchased from Malta Airport. For a non-mason, you
certainly seem to have a strangely good grip on the subject. Your theories
also set one thinking - quite, quite intriguing. With your knowledge you may
make masonic novels your speciality. I am glad that as a non-mason and a
catholic you are not out there to attack and demolish but rather to give
what seems to be a fair hearing. ___________________
At first, I could not understand
the medieval part of the story - but when I did, I was truly intrigued. I
finished up enjoying that part even more than the other which is also so
thrilling. Mind you, I had to look up basic templar history.....what a
massive field it is, had no idea! ___________________

I had decided to get your book when I read about it's launching . I ran down to Agenda Plaza this afternoon and already started at it. Whilst enjoying a high command of the English language and rich in descriptive powers ..it is so intriguing that …it managed to hook my attention - just as John Grisham and Jeffrey Archer - has disrupted my daily agenda. I am a scriptwriter/producer and mainly work on documentaries for the international market….I finished your book last night at 1am. First of all let me say congratulations. It was very very interesting and characters were well built. I liked the story loads.. I loved the story of the templar and how you placed the connection with freemasonry...anyway congratulations again. Hope there will be other such stories that follow. Congratulations on the presentation JP M ___________________
Loved both themes but understood the modern story better…However you have made me look up history of the Templars…..found the tales of Vivienne and Fr Rafel heartbreaking…..need a box of tissues with the book! Mrs. N. Chetcuti. ___________________

Enjoyed the book immensely….simply had to finish it ..page after page…superb read…Initially I bought it because the book cover was so captivating! Suspected it might be too much of men’s stuff…was wrong …it is full of humanity and its woes. Loved it. N. Debono ___________________
One big adrenaline rush! No packing, no frills…you cut to the bone….pure raw action. Well done. N. Galea. ___________________
