Reader’s Comments:

"Congratulations to Dr. Buttigieg for writing an adventurous, thought-provoking book, travelling through the centuries; and as many say, one can almost literally feel the power and lure of the beauty of Malta, its fascinating history and people, leap right off the page, into our own time!"
Dr. Karen Ralls, bestselling author of The Knights Templar Encyclopedia.

Loved especially the Templar chronicles. As a student of the subject, your research is ace. However not very convinced personally about Masonic-templar connection – I think it is all hogwash - no reflection on your book though!

Original and racy plot for the modern part plus a breath of fresh air for the Templars’ story. I’m an avid reader of all Templar related material but I thoroughly enjoyed your story.  Is there more where it came from?  If so, fire away, we’re all waiting.

Read it back home in Rio – you managed to stir nostalgia for Malta in my heart. Never appreciated the Templars but your book has opened a new horizon for me.

Good book, super read. Your theory of  speculative neo-Templarism holds tremendous interest for me and my brethren. If interested, you may be asked by my lodge to expound further. You talk sense and for a non-mason your knowledge and attitude are really most impressive.

N. Pomeroy, New York

I am a 33 degree mason and a Templar. I am much enthralled by your expressed views of freemasonic Templarism for these parallel strongly my own. Such views need to be published as research work in Masonic books and journals. You should definitely consider doing so, even, though, you make it clear that you are not one of us. This would go with Masonry’s modern view that it needs dialogue with intelligent non-masons. You would fit the bill perfectly.

J Guthrie, Scotland.

The book is fantastic and I look forward to reading more from you. Congratulations on your talent!

Dear Sir,

I have read your book twice and plan  to do so more patiently a third time! Each time I discover something new!  I found Of Craft and Honour and A Templar’s Chronicles a fantastic read. You must make your  book available in the UK. I have lent the book around and believe me it is extremely well liked. One man with experience – a Canadian – feels it would make a great film, and he has much experience in the field. Do you have other books published ? if so, I would love to read them.

As chairman of a Templar study group, I congratulate you, sir, on a very tantalizing book on the subject. I purchased your book when my cruise ship stopped over in Malta. At the end of the book I found your e-mail and I wanted to let you know that this is a great read. It is like seeing it all in film. Honestly, you should have this book turned into a big screen movie or possibly serialise it. I love especially the old templar, the chronicler. What a character! Wow!
Do you have a web-site? Have you published other books? Cheers from South Africa

As a freemason, I was intrigued by your book, which I purchased from Malta Airport. For a non-mason, you certainly seem to have a strangely good grip on the subject. Your theories also set one thinking - quite, quite intriguing. With your knowledge you may make masonic novels your speciality. I am glad that as a non-mason and a catholic you are not out there to attack and demolish but rather to give what seems to be a fair hearing.
As a story teller, yes, I must admit, it is hats off to you. You weave, you twist in and out, ride high or low.....pity you're a doctor, you missed your calling.
Robin Thomson

At first, I could not understand the medieval part of the story - but when I did, I was truly intrigued. I finished up enjoying that part even more than the other which is also so thrilling. Mind you, I had to look up basic templar history.....what a massive field it is, had no idea!
Congratulations on your book.

Can you direct me to updated info on hospitallers? Congratulations on your book. I have recommended it to all my friends but they cannot find it in UK bookstores. I bought my copy from Malta, while on holiday. Had I read while still on the Island I would have loved to have the book autographed.

Congratulations, sir, on an excellent novel. As a Grand Lodge officer in the Sovereign Grand lodge of Malta, I can say as a personal comment that it is so refreshing to read a book that is neutral in its opinion of Freemasonry. So many are biased against or for, or deliberately intend to deceive, misconstrue or misinterpret our principles. The ending came too quick. You left me wanting to know more! Perhaps a good thing as I now look forward to reading more of your work. … Thank you for a first class read.
